AI cloud provider CoreWeave announced liquid-cooled switching for Nvidia's next-generation Vera Rubin NVL72 racks — 1.64 Pb/s of switching capacity per rack, 100% more than air-cooled designs (CoreWeave official, Jul 23). Liquid-cooled GPUs are already standard; this is the signal that even the networking gear now needs it — as rack power density keeps climbing, cooling is spreading from the GPU to every component in the cabinet.
