Press and citation
Everything needed to describe, cite or republish SecondSource: descriptions, citation format, license, logo and contact.
One-line description
SecondSource is an AI-industry research publication. It uses AI to read primary documents across fields — filings, papers, regulations and what industry leaders say on the record — attaches the original source to every claim, and corrects mistakes in public. Published daily in English, Traditional Chinese and Japanese.
Longer description
Any one analyst can only read so far; AI reads wider, but it gets things wrong. SecondSource has AI do the reading, then attaches the original source to every claim: a call that rests on a single source stays a hypothesis, it takes two independent sources for a call to stand, and mistakes are corrected in public. In the chip industry, a second source is a qualified alternative supplier for the same part, so no buyer has to depend on just one. SecondSource applies that idea to research: no dependence on a single source, and no limit set by any one person's expertise.
How to cite
Format: SecondSource (year). "Title." URL. Accessed date.
Example: SecondSource (2026). "Methodology · How the brief is made and how calls are checked." https://secondsource.io/en/methodology/. Accessed October 17, 2026.
When citing a specific call, link to the issue or verdict card where it was published, not just the homepage.
To cite a number SecondSource calculated, link to that number's own page; each one carries a chart, the method, its limitation and the license, and all are listed under Numbers by SecondSource.
