Oracle and Google to put Google TPUs on Oracle cloud in 2027
Oracle and Google say Google's TPUs come to Oracle's cloud from 2027, which the two call the first large cloud other than Google's to offer them

Why it matters: From 2027, companies renting Google TPUs will have a large-cloud option other than Google Cloud.
Oracle and Google announced on October 27, at Oracle's annual conference, that TPUs, the AI chips Google designs, will be offered on Oracle's cloud.
The joint press release says "OCI will be the first hyperscaler outside Google to offer Google TPUs"; OCI is Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. The service starts in calendar 2027 and expands over several years, offering the eighth-generation TPU 8t for training and TPU 8i for inference (Oracle and Google press release, 2026-10-27). By the two companies' account, Google Cloud has until now been the only large cloud offering TPUs. The release gives no scale, price or regions, and names no customer. Arm's press release the next day says Oracle also plans to offer Arm's AGI CPU on Oracle's cloud in fall 2027 (Arm, 2026-10-28). The AGI CPU is Arm's central processor, a different product from the TPU.
Not proven yet: scale, pricing and first customers haven't been announced How we checked →
Next to watch: whether Oracle's December quarterly results give TPU capacity or customers. If there is still no capacity figure when the service starts in 2027, the announcement is still only a plan to offer TPUs.
