Apple adds five languages to Siri AI; no prices given

Apple expanded Siri AI from English to five more languages, French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish, and the announcement says server-side AI features have daily usage limits, with expanded use to be offered for a fee later. Apple announced on Apple Newsroom on October 26 that the expansion ships with the 27.2 software updates, with Traditional Chinese, Norwegian, Turkish and Vietnamese to follow by the end of the year; Siri AI remains unavailable in the EU on iOS, iPadOS and watchOS (Apple, 2026-10-26). The announcement says features that rely on server-side models, including Siri AI, intelligent photo editing tools, Image Playground and AFM 3 Cloud models in Shortcuts, have daily usage limits, and that "expanded access to such features will be available for a fee in the future." Our reading: with usage limits now and fees later, users may start paying part of the cloud compute cost of consumer AI. The announcement gives no limit values, start date or price, and this is Apple's announcement alone. How we checked →

Concept illustration: on a light grey-blue background, a conveyor belt at lower left carries a white ball marked with a person icon and a row of grey balls into an opening at the base of a white box, and above the belt a post holds a red sign lettered DAILY LIMIT. The box shows an apple-shaped symbol and the lettering APPLE, and to its right stands a light grey slab on a dark base lettered SIRI AI. On top of the box a screen shows a grey speech bubble, with a label lettered LANGUAGES above it. Five ribbons in blue, green, yellow, purple and teal rise from the screen, each to a speech bubble of the same colour with line, dot or wave marks, while at upper left a thought cloud, linked to the screen by small dots, holds a blank grey tag.
