Oracle will sell OpenAI and Snowflake via its own channel
Oracle will sell OpenAI and Snowflake through its own channel. Oracle applications will come into ChatGPT, US customers can buy OpenAI with Oracle credits, and Snowflake will become a service Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) sells and bills directly. This comes from same-day announcements by OpenAI and Snowflake. OpenAI's October 27 announcement says Oracle is developing Oracle AI Workspace to bring data and workflows from Fusion and other Oracle applications into ChatGPT. Oracle is launching three new products built on OpenAI models, for security, small and midsize businesses, and developers. US Oracle customers can use existing Oracle Universal Credits, a prepaid credit, to buy the OpenAI API, Codex and ChatGPT Work on Oracle Marketplace (OpenAI, 2026-10-27). The same day, Snowflake announced that Snowflake on OCI will become a service OCI sells and bills directly, with customers contracting with Oracle and billed by OCI. The whole announcement is framed as planned and carries a forward-looking statements disclaimer (Snowflake, 2026-10-27). Neither announcement says when any of this launches, and neither gives amounts or how revenue is shared. How we checked →
