AMD's third-quarter data-center revenue rose 97% from a year earlier, and AMD names five customers running its first Helios racks

AMD reported its third-quarter 2026 results on November 3. AMD names Anthropic and four other customers running its first rack-scale AI systems, without saying at what scale.
Data centers drove the quarter's growth. AMD's press release puts total revenue at US$13.4 billion, up 45% from a year earlier, and data-center segment revenue at US$8.5 billion, up 97%. AMD credits demand for its EPYC server processors and the launch of its Instinct MI450 series GPUs; the gaming segment fell 40%. AMD guides fourth-quarter revenue to about US$17 billion, plus or minus 3%, a midpoint about 66% above the same quarter a year earlier (AMD third-quarter results press release, 2026-11-03).
The release says Anthropic, Meta, Microsoft, OpenAI and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure are running models and workloads on the first Helios rack systems. Helios is AMD's AI system that ships MI450 GPUs and sixth-generation EPYC processors assembled as a full rack. "Running models and workloads" covers evaluation and partial workloads; it doesn't mean all five use the MI450 as their main platform, and the release gives no scale.
Not proven yet: the release doesn't say at what scale the five customers run Helios How we checked →
Next to watch: whether AMD's upcoming 10-Q breaks out MI450 revenue, and whether any of the five customers discloses the scale of its Helios deployment; fourth-quarter actuals are due around early February.
